Hello hello!
I'm Moss, or Moss Connell if you're feeling fancy. I've been doing independent commission work for a few years on the net, with a focus on 3D character modeling and animation. My specialty is stylized animals, but I have fondness for all things sci-fi and otherworldly.

I have general understanding and applicable skills in every step of the 3D animation pipeline including 2D to 3D visualization, rigging, texturing and rendering.
My primary programs are Autodesk Maya, Zbrush, Adobe Photoshop, Substance Painter and Premiere Pro.

BIO
Based in Perth, I'm a 3D character artist with a focus on a 3D-to-2D look. Making characters that look like they could have popped out of a painting or comic book allows me to take advantage of the Flexibility of 3D while keeping the style and appeal of 2D designs, and it's exciting to see this approach growing in popularity!

I'm a big fan of hiking and enjoy finding inspiration in the natural landscape of WA. I'm great at finding workarounds to obtuse roadblocks.
I've yet to find a person who doesn't like my fudge.

Skills and Strengths
-
Team player! I like keeping a project up to date with my peers.
-
Flexible! Before formal education I dabbled with a lot of free 3D software, I've had to shunt work through strange pipelines in the past!
-
Multi-faceted! I do a lot of creative work for independent projects, so I've done a fair bit of compositing, 2D design work and vector illustration on the side.
